Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

 ​Our next LIFE Team seminar addresses a topic that usually generates great interest. How does abortion affect men? There is much we know about abortion's impact on women, and there are many retreats for post-abortion healing for women. But sadly, many men also suffer intensely from losing a child by abortion, but they remain in the shadows. The cultural assumption is that this is a woman's choice and a woman's experience.  Hence men are not involved and not affected. But any pastor who has spoken to men who suffer this kind of loss will tell you that they are very much affected, sometimes experiencing grief or guilt as deeply as women. The difference is that they have a harder time talking about it, less recognition of their grief, and issues unique to men in their journey of healing. Theresa Bonopartis is one of the few people who has helped men who suffer the aftermath of abortion, and who trains others in this ministry. Even people who have been involved with pro-life work for a very long time will learn a lot at this seminar.
