Good St. Joseph, guardian and protector of the Holy Family,
I come before you on this your feast day
Full of love for you and aware of your constant care and protection in my life

You have given me what I have always longed for, a father’s love
Granting always what I ask of you if it is for the good of my soul.

Having full confidence in you I come before you once again
Making a request knowing full well my prayer will be answered.

St. Joseph you know my human weakness, how often I fall, how I struggle to let love in.
You know of my faults and failings better than I know myself,

My pride, my vanity, my temptations, my countless sins, and yet,
You are always there for me loving me and guiding me still.

St. Joseph with you at my side, I reconsecrate myself to your foster child Jesus
Through your holy spouse Mary.
Shield them from the many faults and weaknesses I have
Keep them from the harm I would cause them in my failings
Nourish their growth in me as you nourished them in your home at Nazareth.
Help me to die to myself daily, so that adorned with her virtues
Mary may live in me adoring and loving Jesus as only she can.

Sweet St. Joseph, I know I have often disappointed you
I long for the day when I will behold you face to face and purified at last,
Will be able to thank you for you many gifts and love you as you deserve to be loved
And with you in heaven, along with Mary and all the saints, we will give praise and glory to your Son, Jesus Christ.
