If ever you doubted that abortion rights have nothing to do with women's safety, read this article by Lisa Ryan, Advocacy Group Launches Website to Help Women Safely Self-Induce Abortions , in "The Cut" about a group in the Netherlands, "Women Help Women", which is providing online services to help women self abort with the medications Mifepristone and Misoprostol .

Although the group is in the Netherlands, the article uses the scare tactic of Trump to plug their world wide service which provides "one on one" counseling. How's that for women's safety?  Reading through the site it is clear the responsibility falls on the woman alone, giving her tips on how to know if the abortion was successful, what are the symptoms of complications (which they state are rare but who wants to take that chance) and other issues. etc. They do ask for a "contribution" and say a "discrete package" will be mailed to you.

In the United States the  drugs can only be used with medical supervision but the article says it is available illegally online. One has to wonder why these groups who say they care about women's safety are not up in arms instead of promoting something that obviously will have major adverse effects on countless women. The group says this is safe in spite of a  disclaimer on the site saying is not a substitute for medical advice.

One has to wonder how we became so intent on killing our children that we would even self induce, the argument that was proclaimed to pass Roe vs Wade in the first place and continues to be used to keep abortion legal. It is ironic and I am sure we will be seeing deaths and damage from this new found "freedom" of self abortion.

I tried to see who the partnering organizations are but they do not list anyone. No doubt Planned Parenthood is among them.

Hopefully, women will wake up this exploitation which has no regard for their value and dignity.
