God and Sinners Reconciled

 "God and Sinners Reconciled"

reconciled…to establish a close relationship, to restore…to belong, to be a part of.

DSCN2122The life of Jesus reconciles us to God. A living Jesus, right here right now. The relationship of the ministry manifests the love of God on the healing journey as we come to know Him personally and allow His love into our hearts.

In the healing from abortion, many people tend to isolate. They have often lived with abortion being their secret for many years and have hidden in the pain and sorrow. Living in shame and guilt they often protect the truth of who they are by not living in a close relationship with anyone, and in the times when they are greatly attacked with the feelings of guilt and shame they often stay in them alone, not reaching out to anyone.

Those in healing must learn the need to pick up the phone, or reach out in other ways during those times they are most tempted to stay in isolation. The mere desire to isolate is in itself a sure sign that they must not. They must reach out in relationship to those they can trust, to work through and share their feelings in the safety and love of those  God has given them in relationship to their healing, whether it is a clergy person, a fellow PA person, a counselor or a friend.

"Emmanuel, God with us"…in the birth of the living Christ who desires our healing and salvation.

So remember, if you are suffering and being tempted, pick up the phone and call someone (even me!)…you are not alone anymore….you have been reconciled!

Thank you for being there and showing mercy and grace to these woman. I am a post abortion woman in recovery. Right now I can say that I accept that I’m forgiven, and I know I’ve reconciled with God, but how I will feel tomorrow or the next day is yet be seen. As part of my healing I have began a blog a couple of months ago sharing my story. Mainly for me, but in hopes that it might help others heal too. I am not a writer at heart, my gifts are in math and other things, but I believe that God placed writing on my heart for this season in my life to help me as well as others others. It made me think of Mother Theresa stating that she was only the pencil in God’s hand. I’ve learned the importance of talking this out, and not fear being honest about this, God will make the way.
