Reclaiming Our Children: A Blog About Healing After Abortion

This is a statute of St Joseph I have in my room.

I have for years, placed my sons, under his protection, asking him to care for them as he cared for Jesus.

If you notice, he has another baby in his arms,  it symbolizes Joshua, my aborted son. It has been there for over 20 years. It is a great way to memorialize him, safely in the arms of Joseph.

As we celebrate the Feast of St Joseph, the worker, let us entrust our families to his care. 

It is also an opportunity to pray about the father of our unborn children and look at the ways we may have failed each other. We do not do this to judge or blame, but to understand what happened in order for us to heal.
