Gosnell Movie

It is great that the movie about Gosnell was made. I pray that many who do not know the horrors of abortion will see it so that it converts hearts to the truth of what abortion is, but if you are post-abortive do you need to go see it? I have been getting this question a lot, along with the anxiety many who are post-abortive feel about going to see the movie, Gosnell. Gosnell

So, should you go?

You are the only one who can answer that. Do you have to go? No.

It seems some people feel an obligation to see the movie because they are post abortive. While the movie tells the horrors of abortion I would venture to say we have lived them. We know how terrible abortion is.  You do not have to go see the movie to find that out, so, if you think it would be too much for you, or even more if you think somehow you have to go because you have had an abortion(to punish yourself), the answer is probably "no." God does not work that way.  His forgiveness is freely given, and there are no "if you do this or that" ties to it.

Some people may choose to go because they just really want to see it, and that is great, but for others, and mainly depending on where you are in your healing, it may be too hard to understand, and that is okay also. You do not have to see it.

So, before you decide, bring it to prayer. Why do you want to go is a big question to ask yourself. What do you hope to gain by seeing it? There is no right or wrong answer, only your answer according to God's will.
