As we approach the feast of Divine Mercy I thought I would put something out there about A Journey to Healing Through Divine Mercy, a book of meditations I wrote, that was released by Marian Press, Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The book is available on their website here. (It is also available on Amazon .)
Anyone who knows my story will remember that the devotion to Divine Mercy was instrumental in my healing from abortion. I remember clearly my isolation from the church and my inability to believe that I could be forgiven and healed from the horror of what I had done, yet this book is a further witness to the incredible mercy and forgiveness of God, and an amazing thing for me to know it has been published there at the Shrine.
Still, I should not be surprised, because as with all things, it really has nothing to do with me, but everything to do with Him.
I have been so very blessed. In the beginning of my healing, I had amazing spiritual direction as I sought to know God on a personal level. I also, after years finally found a great Catholic counselor who knew post abortion healing and was able to educate me on its dynamics. This basis, especially my spiritual formation, are what paved the way for my relationship with Christ and healing.
Through the years, God has continued to bless me with great spiritual direction, both personally and for the Entering Canaan Ministry. Although I do not understand what he asks of me at times, I know and trust it is for my good and the good of those we serve. I love Entering Canaan which I truly believe belongs to Our Lady of Czestochowa. We have never sought to rush anything but have surrendered it all into her hands allowing her to take it wherever she choses. It continues to grow by Gods grace .
When I was inspired in prayer to put this book together, I did, not knowing what would come of it. I did know I did not want to self publish, so I sent it to Stockbridge on a whim thinking it made sense that would be the place for it. I am grateful they accepted it and we worked together to make it a reality.
It i s a book of meditations on healing, dealing with very specific issues that come up in the journey, like slef forgivness, shame, abortion connectors, trust etc., with quotes from, Divine Mercy in My Soul, as well as from various popes, that go along with each meditation.
Thanks be to God it is helping countless numbers of people in their healing process with some diocese even using it as a catylst for group discussions. My hope is that it will continue to help countless others in working through some of the blocks to healing, by assisting in the growth of trust in God, and claiming the Mercy that is there waiting for each one of us.
May it continue to help many in their journey healing and to Him!
Jesus, we trust in you!
