Bill #371 RAlly

This is proving to be a crazy time. So much is going on in the arena of life issues between legislation, the totally unfair trial of Phill Kline in Kansas (of which Jill Stanek has awesome coverage), the removal of the NYC billboard, the arrest of late term abortion Gosnell and of course, the passage of NYC Council's outrageous bill limited Crisis Pregnancy centers in NY, among many other things.

Things seem to be moving so fast, and the blatant disregard for life and violations of free speech is incredible. The pro abortion lobby obviously feels very secure in bulldozing their bills in in spite of the legality.

I attended the rally for bill #371 in NYC yesterday. Not surprisingly, it passed by a large margin. What was interesting however, was that a friend of mine attended the vote and spoke of one Council member who mentioned the Silent No More signs some of the participants were holding. As he spoke of the "Men Regret Lost Fatherhood" sign, she said he got so emotional he had to stop speaking. Unfortunately, he still voted "yes" on the legislation.

Please keep this man in your prayers..we are trying to find out his name and I hope to contact him and invite him to our next mens day. I have no doubt that a number of people on the Council are post abortive…in fact I know for sure some are. Please keep them in your prayers. Anyone who has gone through healing knows that phase of rationalization and denial, and the great need to keep abortion legal so you can continue justifying it. Unfortunately, these people are in the position to hurt many by this bill, but we know Gods mercy is endless and healing is possible.

I was disappointed that no women spoke in front of the Council during the rally with the exception of the wife of Senator Diaz, but all in all I thnk it went very well. It was wonderful to see clergy from all denominations on attendance and I pray this is the beginning of working together on many life issues.
