Planned Parenthood and the Irony of it All

Yesterday began the 40 Days for Life Campaign. Since I am unable to sign up for a specific time each week because of work, I try to get there whenever I get a chance to go witness and pray.

Yesterday, having a slot of free time, I headed to White Plains, New York to our local Planned Parenthood. I have been coming to this particular Planned Parenthood for thirty years. I rescued there in the early 90's, have been praying there for decades, and I know many unborn who have died there by name, having worked in abortion healing ministry.

It is very personal to me as I pray and think of the loss of life. They are not abstract babies, it is Chris, Mary, Sarah, Adam, unborn I know by name, but also the depth of pain the lies of abortion have caused to millions of women, men and siblings. That is why I find it so ironic to read the signage on the building, "Care No Matter What". I often wonder just what "care" they are speaking about.

Surely not "care" for the unborn who are slaughtered within their walls. Clearly not "care" for the teenager who is being sexually abused by an adult and brought for an abortion while they work against legislation to protect minors. Surely not the women who was coerced by others to abort her baby. Surely not the women who are killed for refusing to take the life of their child. And, not the women themselves who are lied to about the impact abortion may have for the rest of their lives and the denial of information that would be given in any other medical procedure. They show no "care" when abortionist kill or injure women leaving them unable to have other children. And they drown out the voices of those of us who have been there denying the truth of our experiences. So, exactly what "care" is it?

"Care no Matter what", is a testament to their protection of the act abortion no "matter what". That no matter the circumstances, they will do everything they can to keep it legal. That "no matter what" they will protect abortionist to the detriment of individuals and society. They will even sell the body parts of those they slaughter.

I often think of how we all pass these places every day without so much as a thought of what is going on inside. We go on with our lives as if thousands of unborn babies are not getting slaughtered every day in our country. We would rather not think of it. It really is amazing. As we drive down the road, we most probably do not give a thought to the destruction happening within the very walls of the clinic.

The projection of the image of Planned Parenthood on the outside of the building reflects nothing of the truth of what is happening inside. Abortion has not been a gift to women, it has injured countless numbers of us in countless ways. Sadly, we are not given much of a voice in society.

Yesterday I noticed a new sign at Planned Parenthood. It says, "Only people conducting official Planned Parenthood Business are permitted on the premises. All others are trespassing." So, what is the main business of Planned Parenthood? Abortion, and unless you are in line with their agenda you are not allowed, because no matter how inviting they make the outside look, once inside you will be confronted with the horrors of the truth of abortion, the destruction of life, both unborn and countless others who come in contact with it.

Let us pray during this campaign for an end to abortion and the healing of all those impacted by it
